Evapco SA (Pty) Ltd Historic Racing South Africa arrives at Zwartkops Raceway this weekend.
In Class B Andre van der Merwe in his Evapco SA (Pty) Ltd Porsche 911 RSR will have it all to himself as he intends dominating the field with a double overall victory on the day.
Class C will see Andre ten Napel in his TNMC Medical Devices VW Scirocco and Stuart Konig in his Northern Bolt & Tool VW Scirocco going at it yet again for Class C victory. The pair of drivers are very close in the overall Championship standings and each driver will be looking for any advantage possible on the day.
The Class D battle is guaranteed to have some exciting racing as always, with Gavin Lundin in his The Lube Guys Datsun 1200 GX hoping to keep ahead of championship rival Jonathan Konig in his Northern Bolt & Tool VW Scirocco. Martin Botha in his Zakspeed Ford Escort will join the pair in the hopes of snatching victory from his fellow competitors.
Class E is expected, to once again, have some amazing, close racing on display. The Class E Championship leader Sean Hepburn in his AA Datsun 1200DL will look to maintain his competitive edge over the rest of the field. Louis Cloete in his Automotive Racing Components VW Beetle, Grant Cramer in his Jensen’s Towing Datsun 1200 GX, Terence Ladner in his Hamilton’s Racing VW Scirocco, Franz Jensen in his Hamilton’s Racing Datsun 1200 GX, Michael Lundin in his The Lube Guys Datsun 1200 GX, Nigel Townshend in his MK1 Ford Escort, Daryl Mann in his M Projects Datsun 1200 GX, Peder Jensen Hamilton’s Racing Datsun 1200 GX and Willem Vorster in his Advanced Digital Devices MK2 Ford Escort will all be hot on the heels of Hepburn. Every competitor in this class is competitive making the battle for victory all the more entertaining for spectators.
Class F will see Cameron Foster in his Jensen Towing Datsun 1200 GX clash with Ian Odendaal in his AIM Precision Engineering MK1 Ford Escort. Foster mentioned after the last round at Red Star Raceway that there were a few tweaks he needs to make to his car in order to help him through the corners a little quicker. Will the tweaks work? Only time will tell as Foster will look to get the better of Odendaal at the Big Z.
Class G will see competition in the form of the current Overall Championship leader Mike Bishop in his Gasoline Denim Co. Renault Gordini taking on Gerrit Murray in his Alfa Romeo GTV and Johann van der Walt in his Star Mining Supplies Mercedes 280E. Racing in this class is always super close and we expect nothing different this coming weekend.
Evapco SA (Pty) Ltd HRSA is always a joy to watch and we encourage all spectators to come and join in on the day and enjoy some spectacular racing.
